Figurative Language

  1. Figurative- expressing one thing in terms normally denoting another with which it may be regarded as analogous
  2. Figure of Speech- an intentional deviation from the ordinary form or syntactical relation of words Imagery- formed or characterized imaginatively or arbitrarily Trope- the use of a word or expression in a figurative sense
  3. They all have a huge relation to the use of words in language
